Pererenan
The after party. Surf at dawn, smoothie bowls at noon, beach club disco at sunset.
Bali's energy at full volume
Pererenan, Canggu and Berawa form one long surf strip on Bali's south-west coast. Black-sand beaches, world-class breaks, design-forward villas, matcha bars and the loudest beach clubs in Asia, all within a 10 minute scooter ride of each other.
Pererenan itself is the quieter, more residential end. Berawa is FINNS country, packed and polished. Canggu Batu Bolong is in between, where most of the cafes and night spots live. Wherever you stay across these three, you can walk to a beach by sunset.

Pick your stretch
Pererenan for quiet villas, Batu Bolong for cafes and surf school, Berawa for the day-club scene. All within 10 to 15 minutes of each other.
Sunset on the sand
La Brisa, La Baracca, The Lawn or just a bintang in the sand at Echo Beach. The sky show starts around 6:00 pm.
Spoiled for choice
From warungs to fine dining: try Mason, Hospitality, Penny Lane, Milu, or smash a breakfast at Crate or Nüde.
Transport and traffic
- Airport to Pererenan: 60 to 90 minutes outside peak; can stretch to 2 hours Friday/Sunday evening. Pre-book.
- Pererenan to Soori: 60 to 90 minutes. Coming home after Soori events, register the late-night shuttle.
- Within Canggu: Gojek/Grab car works but the back lanes (gangs) are scooter-only at times. A 10 minute hop can take 30 in peak.
- Scooters: Locals do it, but it's the highest-risk thing you'll do all week. If you're not confident, skip it.
